About the Study
The Cognitive Neuroscience Lab at the University of Delaware (Principal Investigator: Dr. Tim Vickery) is seeking participants for a neuroimaging (fMRI) experiment conducted at the Maryland Neuroimaging Center at the University of Maryland. Experiments involve memory tasks, learning tasks, and/or simple decision-making tasks (e.g., playing games) while being scanned by MRI. Experimental sessions take between 2 to 3 hours to complete.
Compensation
For your participation, you will receive $20 per hour, amounting to $40 over the two-hour session.
Additional awards may be earned based on performance during the tasks.
Participation Requirements
To be eligible, participants must be:
- 18-40 years-old
- Right-handed
- Without metal in the body, including pacemakers, neural implants, metal plates or joints, shrapnel, and surgical staples
- Not claustrophobic
- Not pregnant
- Not taking psychological drugs, including Zoloft, Ritalin, and drugs of abuse
- Have no known psychological condition, including ADD, depression, PTSD, and clinical anxiety
- Have no known neurological condition, including stroke, seizure, brain tumor, or closed head injury
- Have normal or corrected-to-normal vision (glasses or contacts are OK)
- Have normal hearing
